On June 5, 2020, the Lagos State Executive Council has approved the nomination of immediate Ex-Commissioner of Agriculture, Gbolahan Lawal, as the new monarch elect for Iruland Kingdom, the friend of Trade House “Nigeria-Ukraine” and ZED Association.
Mr. Lawal actively supports the development of economic relations between Nigeria and Ukraine.
Last year, with the support of the State Ministry of Agriculture of Lagos State, the Ukrainian-Nigerian project for the construction of the Badagri agro complex in Lagos was agreed, and social projects for the high-rise houses’ construction were discussed.
Mr. Lawal previously visited Ukraine in 2018 - attending exhibitions on agriculture and meeting with heads of relevant ministries and organizations, in 2019 - Nigerian delegation visit on the agro complex’s construction issues in Lagos State and participation in the Business Council meeting "Ukraine-Nigeria" at the Ukrainian CCI.
