On July 10, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Nigeria, Ivan Kholostenko, together with the Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations of Sumy State University, Professor Tetyana Maiboroda, and the official representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine in Nigeria, Olena Nedryhailo, held a meeting with former graduates of Sumy State University.
Quality Ukrainian education has long been popular among Nigerian applicants. Returning to Nigeria with diplomas from Ukrainian universities and a wealth of knowledge, graduates have the opportunity to build successful careers and develop their country.
During a warm meeting in an informal atmosphere, former students who came from different parts of Nigeria expressed their gratitude to Ukraine and Ukrainians for quality education and a warm welcome.
"The main feature that unites Ukrainians and Nigerians is hospitality." - noted one of the graduates.
Ambassador Ivan Kholostenko and Professor Maiboroda Tetiana asked the graduates about their educational experience and informed them about the current state of Ukrainian-Nigerian relations in the field of education.
Also, the result of the meeting was the establishment of an association of former graduates on the basis of the Embassy, the purpose of which is the promotion of Ukrainian education among Nigerians and mutual support.
