On February 19, a meeting was held with the Director General of the National Agency for Regulation and Control of Food and Drugs M.Kh.Adeee. During the meeting, issues of entry of Ukrainian companies to the Nigeria market, as well as certification of goods of Ukrainian manufacturers, were discussed.
On the occasion, I would like to add that, according to the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, the trade turnover between the countries in 2018 amounted to 106.45 million dollars. (the figure increased by 11.3% compared with 2017).
Exports of goods amounted to 105,22 million dollars US (increased by 11,1%). Export structure: ferrous metals - 55,1%; cereals - 31%; sugar and sugar confectionery - 4,7%; various food products - 1,7%; nuclear reactors, boilers, machines - 0,6%; milk and dairy products, poultry eggs; natural honey - 0,4%; alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and vinegar - 0,2%; fertilizers - 0,2%.
Imports of goods amounted to 1,23 million dollars US (increased by 32.2%). Import structure: seeds and fruits of oil plants - 71,8%; cocoa and its products - 9,5%; coffee and tea - 9,2%; plastics, polymeric materials - 0,8%.
The trade balance of goods in 2018 is positive and amounted to 103,99 million dollars US.
